The first step in the design process is the programming phase. This is where all the details like the project scope, budgeting and all the clients needs are discussed. This is truly what determines the layout and flow of a home! We have a tool we use to help our clients prioritize how their spaces flow together - called a design matrix.
Here you’ll get to see the first concepts and sketches! This includes how the spaces work together and how each of those must-haves are incorporated.
This phase is full of decisions: the floor plan is finalized and so is the exterior of the home with all the materials. This is the step in the process where it all comes to life!
The planning and designing are complete, now it's time to drill down and put every detail on paper. A set of construction documents include everything from light switch placements to building plans and help translate your project needs into a buildable format for your contractor.
